Canon has recently announced the long awaited release of the EOS 450D Digital Rebel XSi. This would be Canons latest onslaught to dominate the entry level digital compact SLR camera category. And, it is a formidable piece of equipment. If this doesn’t get the Canon fanboys (and girls) overextending their lines of credit, then nothing will. It may even entice a few Nikon fans. Bold statement yes I know, but lets take a closer look at why the 450D Digital Rebel will be force to be reckoned with in marketplace.

The release of the 450D is basically an upgraded version of the Canon EOS 400D, which was of course an upgrade from the Canon EOS 300D. Being one of the best selling models in the Canon line, a major overhaul would have been crazy on Canons part, both from a sales number perspective, and a user experience perspective. They have however added several smart new features. Not the least of which being Live View.

There is of course the option to use the viewfinder to frame your shots. You need to be aware though, that with this and many PowerShots, the viewfinder is not totally accurate. You’ll find that your pictures are about 20-25% bigger than what you see through the A650IS viewfinder. Something to be aware of when your snapping the shutter.

Another thing not to get too excited about with the PowerShot A650, is the wide range of ISO formats available. While it’s true, that you can shoot up to 3200 ISO, in reality, any images at 400 ISO or above are going to be excessively noisy. Depending on the image subject, and what your going to do with the images you may be able to push your luck a little here.

The ultimate in image quality usually means big bulky SLR cameras with a case load of lenses and controlled lighting for different types of shooting environments. SLR photography also involves micro managing of all the various camera settings such as aperture, ISO settings, white balance, f-stop and so on. You really have to know what your doing. The Canon Rebel XTi Digital SLR, or the Nikon D40 are good cameras in this category that don’t break the bank.

So, as usual with most cameras, it really comes down to a personal choice. Some owners swear the A650IS is the most beautiful camera they’ve every owned. Others couldn’t wait to sell theirs on eBay. Fortunately for you, you know now exactly what the A650IS is capable of, and what is just out of it’s grasp.

Ways to Build Links

Implementing a positive strategy for marketing that maintains a consistant flow of web traffic to your site is by no means impossible. To get this web traffic to your site you need a significant search engine presence, and to achieve this, you need to main things, a quality website that is easy for Google to read and a series of links linking to your site from authority sites all over the web.

This is not as difficult as it sounds as there are many systems in place to make this happen for you. First though, you need to understand that not all links are equal. Google uses a Page Rank system to value each page of each site that it knows about. Ranked from 0 ” 10 with 10 being the best, most popular and valuable sites, and 0 being sites it knows about but thinks very little of. Below 0 is a grey bar graphic in the Google toolbar which indicates that either Google doesnt know that the site exists or worse than that, that the site has been blacklisted by Google and should be avoided.

In a perfect world, we’d all have lots of links from the home-pages PR-10 sites, however the fact that there are only around 10 PR-10 sites that exist somewhat hinders this approach, and those 10 or so won’t usually link to many other websites because they don’t need to, have nothing to gain from it, and would never stop receiving link requests. Even slightly lower PR sites, like PR-7/8s are very picky about who they link to. These highly ranked sites are known as “authority” sites and tend not to link to lower ranked sites (not very often anyway) because they simply have nothing to gain from it.

Your mission is to get as many sites with some PR or the potential to soon get some PR to link to you as possible. This means in effect that getting a link from a newish site that hasnt been live long, has no PR but is working on link building is a good strategy to adopt in the longer term. Google only allocated PR twice per year, so if you are unlucky you might need to wait months in order to gain some PR. The amount you are given will depend upon the link juice you squeeze from all the sites that link to you. The more, high pr sites you receive a link from, the higher your PR will ultimately be.

So how does one go about getting these links together? Well, that is just the question. You can hunt down sites online that seem to link to other sites. There are quite a few sites about that provide reciprocal linking. The flaw with these is that reciprocal links aren’t really worth a great deal any more (although they are woth something as sometimes two-way links are natural eg.customer & supplier etc.they’re just not worth much). This is because the major search engines have cottoned on to the arrangement being made between sites with this type of link, they have therefore begun to downgrade their worth.

By far the most efficient way to get to the good seats in the search engine results ranking (at the top) is with one way links (getting sites to link to you without you having to link back). As people aren’t very inclined to give away links for nothing, this can be quite difficult. Some sites may just genuinely like your site’s content and give link to you as a resource for their users, but generally speaking, you will have to give them return

You may have problems achieving these one way links if you only have one website. There are a few answers to this issue, but one way link management is the clear way to go.

Effectively, your site is entered into a triangular arrangment where your site (site A) links to site B, which then links to site C, which then links back to site A (your site) this is beneficial to each site to the value of one one-way link. The big search engines cannot trace these links and so they reward you with a big push up the results rankings.

They have however added several smart new features. Not the least of which being Live View.

Smaller sized camera designs are very portable, but usually affect ease of use and image quality in negative ways. The smaller a camera is, the smaller the controls are, which makes them harder to use. Single control buttons and wheels are often used for multiple functions which can increase user confusion. Smaller cameras often mean, that features like viewfinders get left off in the effort to add bigger LCD screens. Smaller often means zoom lenses are less powerful, and overall lens quality suffers. The most successful small sized cameras I like are the Canon SD1000 Digital Elph, and the Olympus Stylus 790SW.

Another thing not to get too excited about with the PowerShot A650, is the wide range of ISO formats available. While it’s true, that you can shoot up to 3200 ISO, in reality, any images at 400 ISO or above are going to be excessively noisy. Appearance- The Samsung SF 5100 black and white, laser, fax printer with Samsung SF 5100 toner is real grafter while being very compact in terms of size. Considering it’s a three-in- one machine it measures 9×12x13 inches and weighs an extraordinary light 6 kilograms. Unbelievable? Believe it! What’s more unbelievable is the quality of prints as well as the crazy-cheap price of US$400.00 for the printer fax. You just cannot go wrong with this investment. Ideal for both office and home use.

Document and media handling- The paper tray handles a maximum capacity of 150 sheets input and 100 sheets output. Documents are fed at a 20 sheet capacity. Paper sizes compatible with the device are A4, Letter and Legal. Unfortunately, the machine only accepts plain paper.

Print quality- Samsung’s edge enhancement technology makes every print on this machine a black and white piece of art. Overall print and image quality is absolutely perfect. Copies are produced at 300x 300 dpi at a rate of 6 pages per minute. Faxes are transmitted at a Speedy Gonzales pace of 6 seconds per page. Documents can be enlargement up to 130% and reduced as low as 50%.

Controls- Controls on the Samsung SF 5100 printer fax is generally uncomplicated. Buttons are easily legible and located on the front of the machine with a 7 language LCD display. The controls get a little more tricky when faxes need to be sent. This is most probably due to the variety of dialling options available. Transmission option one is keying in of the fax number on the numbers pad and then hitting start/enter button. If you want to use option two the number you want to use will have to previously dialled. All that’s then required is the pressing of the one touch dial key. Speed dialling is option three. The option is accessible when the number has been added to speed dialling list.

Advantages- Fax transmission is incredibly fast not to mention copying with its mere 6 second document scanning system. The machine is totally reliable with great features such as auto redial, priority transmission and transmission reporting

Con’s- The machines’ paper trays are a bit of a problem. The input tray is very short and narrow and the output tray’s design flaw impacts the way paper exists. Sent and received pages are not separated and are all sent to a paper tray at the bottom of the device. Another paper tray is present at the top of the machine. Luckily this tray causes no to few problems. Unconventional paper sizes or types can sometimes cause paper flow problems.

Costs- Your initial purchase of the printer will already save you tons as the printer self is very well priced and when comparing printing costs between inkjet and laser machines. However you will really start to realise how much you are saving when the machine is actually up and running. When compared to copy inkjet and thermal transfer costs the machine is extremely comparative. The machine comes with great environmentally friendly features like power and toner save modes. Toner saving features are very popular these days due to the very heft cost of the consumable. Be sure to only use Samsung SF 5100 toner with this product.

Nowadays, most people own Xbox 360s as opposed to the older version. However, there are a few people left out there that enjoy the old gaming console. Unfortunately, both systems have had problems over the years not being able to read discs, games freezing up, or even hard drives failing. Depending on the one you own it’s difficult to even think about the kind of repair costs it will take to fix yours.

The repair cost usually depends on whether or not your gaming console is still under warranty. If you own the older Xbox, there won’t be a warranty left and in order to fix it you’ll have to literally take matters into your own hands. On the other side of things, some people may have a warranty left on the Xbox 360, if this is the case then send it off to Microsoft.

However, if all warranties have expired and you send the 360 off to the manufacturer it’s going to cost a pretty penny. Just to have your system fixed it can run you about a hundred and eighty dollars, but once you include shipping and everything else involved it ends up being about two hundred dollars. After spending $300-$400 on the system itself, you don’t want any additional costs.

One thing to understand outside of the repair costs, is the amount of time it’s going to take to for them to return the system to you. They originally tell you anywhere from four to six weeks, but due to high volumes and slow solution rates it’s a lot longer. In fact, it can end up being anywhere from 6 to 9 months when it’s all said and done. So you have to decide if it’s actually worth your time and money to let them do the repairs for you.

On a more positive note, by employing a little DIY, both systems can be repaired. In fact, a vast amount of work has been put into compiling lists of solutions which cover almost every conceivable problem which one could encounter. Further more, these lists are unique to the system for which they are intended, and each list is compiled in a step by step format.

Yes, taking the DIY approach does mean you’ll have to invest a certain amount of time in order to carry out the repairs yourself but then again, the amount of time you spend doing then will be negligible compared to how long it takes when you send the console away.

Also in climates that are higher in humidity, the adhesive for sealing the envelope may become moister and sticky and the copier will seal it.

If you don’t use the printer frequently, you’ll want to take the paper out of the printer. Normally, if the paper is left in the equipment for a lengthy time, it absorbs moisture, and will cause paper jams. To avoid paper jams during use, make sure when loading, all paper is stacked up evenly. It is a good rule of thumb to take out old paper when loading and just insert fresh and new paper. Be sure to only use Sharp NX 530 toner with this product.

Your Guide to Fighting Spam

As if the ever increasing intensity of spam was not enough to shatter the confidence of email users, the dangers of computer virus through unsolicited messages is making things worse. The first national standard was set against all bulk emails which belonged to the commercial category and were unsolicited, when President Bush signed the Can Spam bill in December 2003.

The bill was subsequently ratified and voted by the Senate by a vote 97 to 0 which debars senders from sending bulk commercial unsolicited emails by disguising their real identities and taking the help of dictionaries to construct such mailers. Additionally the emails must carry an opt out facility and can not carry any subject line which is misleading. The law entails that the sender can not scan through websites for addresses and any violation can mean up to one year behind bars.

A major point to ponder is that these days the there are various countries of origin for spam and they are larger in numbers. Such spam is harder to combat because of their alien origin. These problems are difficult to handle, though the laws may sound good since the internet knows no country barriers. Is there any way out of the situation? Here are the best 5 strategies against spam:

Number 1: Avoid displaying your email address on the net at all cost. ‘Spam spiders’ are specialized products which hunt for email address on the net for using as a mailing list later. If the word ’spam spider’ triggers your interest do a search for this word on the net, the results might just shock you. Interestingly, there is a site, WebPoison.org, which is an open source project geared to fight Internet ’spambots’ and ’spam spiders’, by giving them bogus HTML web pages, which contain bogus email addresses.

Number 2: Get yourself a software which blocks spam. Chances are that you might decide to go in for the professional version but whatever you do getting the software is a must since it would help you save plenty of time. While the soft certainly does not claim to provide guaranteed results, it can still be dependable but remember that some manual setting could be needed to bar some particular types of emails.

Number 3: You could have several email addresses. There are several free email address you could choose from through which you could receive newsletters and have another address as a back up. This is somewhat like your friends have your private cell number but all the rest of your contacts have your official number.

Number 4: The most frequently encountered problem with spam is that they have attachments and these contain dangerous viruses. Corporations often have filters that don’t let such things pass to you. Next, look for mail filter service providers.

Number 5: Did you know that email service providers are now offering ‘bulk mail’ baskets? The concept is simple. What you do when you receive email from any stranger, put them in a bulk email pile and then allow it to move into your circle. All software which blocks spam work with the same logic but having a couple of more layers is what makes the difference so another look may be necessary.

It’s hard to make ends meet when you’re new in a game, particularly on World of Warcraft. There are all sorts of items you need to get ahead in the game. I remember being so desperate for gold that I started looking around on the internet for ways to make gold, tips and tricks, any guide at all that would help me with my gold problem.

I stumbled upon Secret Warcraft, on the front page was one of Jonathan Kenins podcast where he was giving a weekly review of good gold makers in the game.

I learned some new terms from Secret Warcraft, Limited Supply items and cross-faction trading. I also learned that spending hours of my time is not necessary, doing boring things just to make gold is completely optional.

Limited Supply items and cross-faction trading makes gold-making so much easier on World of Warcraft!

First thing you need to do is to get a list of the Limited Supply items available on WoW. There’s an excellent, complete list available for you at SecretWarcraft.com, it’s detailed and organized by zone and location, as well as profit potential per item so you can get going as fast as possible with limited supply trading.

Then with that list, you will have to monitor your auction house. Check which items are selling for a lot, and which ones are not so hot on your server, that way you wont end up wasting money on an item that you wont be able to sell for a good profit.

Then when you know which items will earn you the most gold, its shopping time!

With a bunch of empty bags, you should be able to fit a bunch of limited supply items. The best ones to go for are Alliance exclusive items such as Pattern: Black Whelp Cloak, Pattern: Raptor Hide Belt, or Pattern: Black Whelp Tunic.

Or the Horde exclusive items like Pattern: Raptor Hide Harness, Recipe: Crispy Bat Wing, Formula: Enchant Chest – Lesser Mana.

Cross-faction trading is the way to make a good gold profit from these limited supply items. Cross-faction trading basically means that you’re selling Horde only items on the alliance side, and vice versa.

Digital cameras are the hottest tools of excellence enabling you take photos and share them almost instantly with friends and relatives these days.

A digital camera is one capable of storing images in digital format and unlike non-digital camera, doesn’t store these images on film. Armed with a digital camera, you can take photos endlessly, cheaply and quickly as you don’t need to process any films! How do you get a discount digital camera?

For those who are going to be using the photos for personal use (email, photo albums, etc…) a camera with a few megapixels is sufficient. Many people tend to go out and buy 12 megapixel cameras, and frankly, this is a waste of money on their part. Professional photographers are generally the only group of people who will require a camera with such high resolution. Otherwise, save the money and get something with less.

How much are you willing to spend? You wouldn’t want to spend $2,000 on a camera with lots of features you don’t need, or get a $49.95 one that wouldn’t rise up to your needs. Document on the available features and decide on a model that would fit your budget.

Maximum resolution. Rule of the thumb says that the higher the resolution, the better the image quality. For day to day photo shootings you can settle for 3 megapixels or even below, if you will only be using the images to upload them online or make low sized printouts. If you plan on taking professional quality images, you should get a 5 megapixel model.

Lastly, size is a very important factor in choosing a camera for a number of reasons. To some people, appearance is important. To others (and most commonly) it is important that camera is sized so that it can be carried around hassle-free. The three sizes for digital cameras include compact, standard, and professional. Compact are the smallest, and are made to be very easily transportable. Users generally like this camera because you can even pocket it.

Standard cameras are a bit larger, although they will probably not fit in your pocket like the Compact model. Lastly, the professional is the largest of the digital cameras. These cameras are quite large, and almost always require some sort of case to be carried in. They are also quite heavy.
