The internet has been a marvelous invention. Think about all the ways you can get things done faster than before. As with everything else in life, there is also a catch. The catch is that we have come up with ways of using the internet to make us even less productive as well. You know what I am talking about. There are countless ways for people to waste a substantial amount of time on the internet. Here are a couple of them.
Its tempting to waste plenty of hours downloading and viewing videos online. There’s a reason why YouTube is so popular. Its enjoyable to watch online videos.
Unfortunately, some computer users spend far too much time watching and sending the latest Internet video fad. You must have at least one friend who does this.
Then there are free Internet games. These, too, waste an inordinate amount of time. Again, it’s little surprise. Even free online games can be time-wasters.
Forums and message boards are similar to blogs in that they allow Internet users to easily express their opinions on a variety of topics. Like blogs, they also have the potential to drain precious time.
A huge number of Internet users waste an ungodly amount of time reading blogs, too. There is a blog on just about any subject. Unfortunately, for several Internet users, the pull is too great; they’ll spend hours reading through political and entertainment blogs each day.
Remember how many people complained about television being this supreme time waster? Now the internet is competing head to head with television for the title of most popular way to waste time. It is nice to have all this up to date information at our fingertips. If only we utilized tools like this for useful means instead of just rotting our minds.
