The number of people who uses iPhones are still in constant growth. iPhones are not just those who love multimedia features but moreover for those who are very much occupied in the fast paced corporate world.

As its importance is being highly emphasized, iPhone users should know the way of configuring the accounts up on their iPhones. This is a very simple process compared to what others are thinking.

The very first step that you should do is to make sure that you are going to choose the right email account fitted on the computer you are using. Since you are using iPhone, it will surely work with a Mac computer or other PC with Outlook application.

Next is to go to the “Mail” option seen on the iPhone’s display if you do not have an account yet. But if you have an account already, you just need to select “Settings” then “Mail” in order to configure your existing account.

The next thing to do is to tap on “Add Account.” You will be presented with the POP option once tapping on “Add Account.” You would then need to put the details of your account on the fields. You will then be asked for the incoming mail server information, username and account password.

After filling up the information for the incoming mail server, you have to fill out the information on the outgoing mail server. Just like the incoming mail server, it will also ask for your username and password. The account information for the two fields is the same.

When you are done with all the filling up of needed information, then proceed to the advance option which can be found under the SMTP. Turn off the SSL, both incoming and outgoing. This is just about the final step you need to know during the setting up of your account.

There is great reward from setting up your iPhone to be able to receive iPhone email especially if you are a businessman. It will help you to stay on track of your business updates and status and you will never ever lose any client or miss any deadline. This is total technology development in a world that is always on the go.

Macbooks are Slowly Changing

Since the introduction of Aluminum Unibody Macbooks, Apple has begun to slowly phase out the previous generation of the Polycarbonate White Macbooks. There’s still one revamped white Macbook available on Apple’s online store, but the inventory is noticeably few than before, especially in the company’s refurbished deals section.

The MacBook runs on Intel based processors and have their own integrated operating system in them. ‘X Leopard’ is their latest operating system known for its easy usability and smooth functioning. The MacBooks laptops have come out in different variants like, MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook pro.

On both the regular Macbook and Macbook Pro, you get a glass trackpad. Gone is the click button. Instead, the whole trackpad becomes the click button. Because of this, you also get over 30% more trackpad real estate. Like the Macbook Air, various gestures can also be used with this trackpad.

Apple introduced the glossy display screen, which has been quiet popular for its brighter viewing and better contrast abilities. The MacBook are priced from Rs 50,000 onwards and come in the conventional white colour, the black color models are also available with added costs.

The operating systems of the MacBooks have been known for simplifying usage and giving a new look from the traditional windows operating systems. The latest MacBook laptops have incorporated the Intel Core 2 Duo processors which have enhanced performance. The MacBook Pro models have nvidia graphics card installed which provides better video and gaming experience.

All MacBook Laptops are bundled with Apple’s software applications and have been well appreciated. The popular software applications are the iTunes software, Safari and DVD player. A security software named iAlertu can be installed which engages your laptop securely.

Macbook users will notice the biggest difference since the Intel graphics chips from the past generation offered so-so performance at best. Macbook Pro users should also see a performance boost in the 9600M GT but it’s still a far cry from the budget desktop SLI configurations that you can put together yourself.

The low price MacBook is the entry-level model which has packed in decent features for a regular consumer. You can buy Macbook laptops from the Apple store or even from popular online shopping based websites. You can get great deals and offers while shopping online.

Get the Apple Macbook Air

There aren’t many thinner laptops than the Macbook Air. We’ve all seen the advert where it fits in the envelope. It’s almost like a piece of paper. This beautiful gadget is the latest invention from Apple. Once again their design team has got it spot on and have designed not just a gadget but a piece of art.

Looking at the Macbook Air really does make you want it. Sure there are thinner laptops out there, but do they have anything on the design of the Macbook Air? Not one bit… With the Macbook Air came a laptop that people wanted to show off.

Carry the Apple Macbook Air and you’ll be noticed. This is one of the hottest gadgets of the year and is highly desirable. The Macbook Air is help in an aluminium casing meaning although it’s light it still has a feel to it.

It may look good but to make it so small Apple has had to make some compromises. Its certainly not the most powerful laptop on the market. You would not want to replace your desktop PC with this laptop as it simply wont have enough power.

The Apple Macbook Air has a bright display which produces vivid real colours. The fact that it is an LED display instead of an LCD display means that the battery lasts that little bit longer. Good quality screens make using the computer a much better experience.

If you like writing on the move then the Macbook Air is perfect for you. It makes easy typing with it’s full-size keyboard. The keys are also separated from each other so you won’t have to fumble looking for the right key to press.

The Macbook Air is definitely a must have. You can’t disagree. The Macbook Air is one of the best looking laptops out there. The only problem is it is very expensive. How would you like to get a Macbook Air for completely free? The thing is you now can. All you have to do is register with the free Macbook Air site and complete one offer. This offer is free. The Netbook VS The iPhone

Everyone knows what an iPhone is. It has been at the centre of technology buzz since it was released. The latest variant, the iPhone 3G comes with 3G mobile broadband and combines with Apples Safari internet browser. It combines 3 consoles, a phone, a music player and a internet browsing device.

The netbook and iPhone share similar characteristics and functions, but which is a better choice? We will discuss different variables of each device below.

Powering On

Both devices have a simple power on button and process. The iPhone takes around 20-25 seconds to power on and be ready for use. The netbook, if powered by the Linux operating system can be on and ready to use in around 15 seconds. Windows XP will take around 18-20 seconds to be ready for use. Winner: Netbook

Typing

Either way you look at it, typing on the iPhone and on the netbook is not the same as typing on a desktop computer. However, the netbook is the closest thing to comfortable typing. Both have a full qwerty keyboard, but the netbooks keyboard is around 80% of the size of a full keyboard. Typing on the touch screen iPhone takes a lot of time and practice. It gets even more difficult if you have a protective case over the phone. The winner is: Netbook

Browsing The Internet On The Device

The iPhone is limited in its browsing functions simply because of the Safari browser. Netbooks are capable of running Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, and Safari. You can surf the internet much easier with a netbook than an iPhone. Winner: Netbook

Portability

As we all know, the iPhone is small enough to fit into a pocket. A netbook is not as small and usually needs a small laptop bag to be carried around. The iPhone easily runs away as winner of this category.

Cost

Netbooks typically cost between $200-300, whilst your unofficially unlocked iPhone will cost between $350-400 depending on where you want to buy. Unlocked iPhones will set you back around $500 – and the price keeps rising as there is more demand for the iPhone on different cellular provider networks.

Overall, the netbook is going to be a better choice for consumers who need a portable, reliable device.

Defined by IBM Software Group as “an integrated desktop client option for accessing business e-mail, calendars and applications on an IBM Lotus Domino server,” Lotus Notes has been around for some time, but was mainly used as a simple contact management database. Today’s Mac-based Lotus Notes provides blogs, wikis, RSS aggregators, customer relationship management (CRM) and help desk systems, and organizations can build a variety of custom applications using Domino Designer. Mac users seem to rave the most concerning Lotus Notes, but users everywhere have a lot of positive things to say about this application.

One of Mac-Based Lotus Notes’ most outstanding features is its ability to use the innovative opportunities developed by the popular open-source Eclipse Framework, which Lotus Notes runs on. Some of these capabilities include replicating unreadable marks, editing an attachment and sending it back with changes as an e-mail message, or sharing folders and clusters of files in a single drag-and-drop action. Since open source networks are a dynamic breeding ground of innovations, users can expect to see the same dynamic progression in Lotus Notes’ capabilities.

Other features include helping increase user productivity by instantly locating and connecting with resources via presence awareness, business cards and instant messaging incorporated within the inbox and calendar. It also helps minimize or eliminate computer viruses through vigorous security features. In addition, the design of Mac-based Lotus Notes was created with so many superior features than other applications of its kind. Some are listed below:

* Dialog boxes for formatting text, hyperlinks and other rich-text information can remain open after changes are made to the selected text. This provides great flexibility to select new text and apply other formatting without closing the dialog box, selecting new text and opening a new format dialog box. Almost all other Windows applications require the user to close the dialog box, select new text, and then open a new dialog box for formatting or changes. Properties dialog boxes also automatically recognize the type of text selected and display the appropriate selections, for instance, a hyperlink properties box when appropriate.

* Tabs. Explore, utilize and enjoy the popularity of your tabbing options as extensively as possible with Mac-based Lotus Notes. You can organize and align your rich-text fields, tables, e-mail messages, forms and documents with tabs, in the same way that you use tabs to navigate through various web portals.

* Deletions. Say hello to convenient document deletions. Other applications often burden you with the task of searching for then deleting the same file stored in various folders, and these can be cumbersome tasks when you are on a tight schedule. With Mac-based Lotus Notes, all that’s needed from you is one deletion. The application then takes care of simultaneously scrapping similarly named documents stored in different folders.

* Mac-based Lotus Notes is easily installed and administered. It’s extendible, which means it integrates with other applications without relying on the mail server. The reduction of cost is also significant with this application, as it provides users with one centralized place to send, receive and manage faxes and emails-through Notes mail-with seamless integration. A user can create fax messages directly in Notes just like anybody would to create an email. This makes it easy to extend faxing capabilities across the enterprise to streamline document delivery and receipt. Mail-dependent fax servers, however, cannot connect to other vital business applications like enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management systems. This feature is being addressed and will more than likely change on later releases of Mac-based Lotus Notes.

Thanks to Mac-based Lotus Notes, you and your business can enjoy enhanced speed, efficiency and productivity. Of course, the advantages mentioned in this article are not all. Once you begin to use the application, you’ll discover a lot more.
