The Best MMORPGs Ever

There has been a new influx of online role-playing games for the PC. There are now many free MMORPGs available, as well as pay-to-play MMORPGs. The pay-to-play model allows companies to put massive manpower and resources behind creating some of the best games ever. Here is a list of some of the top MMORPGs out right now.

World of Warcraft – Definitely the top dog when it comes to MMORPGs. World of Warcraft has well over ten million subscribers and continues to grow everyday. This fantasy-based MMORPG broke the mold and has pushed the standard ahead for online role-playing games.

Lord of the Rings Online – Primarily a PvE-based game, Lord of the Rings Online has incredible mainstream appeal and is doing very well in the industry. It has garned very high reviews from many professional gaming reviewers. The game is targeted to the more casual gamer market.

Eve Online – This game is played on one “shard” or game server. Everyone that plays Eve Online exists in the same world together. It is known as one of the biggest time sinks of all the MMORPGs. It takes an incredible amount of time to be competitive and join the game world, but it also has one of the most storied histories in the industry.

Final Fantasy XI – The flagship MMORPG of the Final Fantasy series. FFXI is an extremely group based online game that has been around for several years now. Although the subscriber base has stopped growing as it once did, it still has a solid following in both Japan and the United States. The game has released multiple successful expansions and is still doing quite well.

Warhammer Online – The biggest PvP-based game on this list. Warhammer Online failed to debut as highly as it was anticipated, but the game’s subscriber base has leveled off and its initial growing pains have subsided. The game wasn’t the World of Warcraft “killer” that it was supposed to be, but has still garnered quite a solid reputation and fan support.

City of Heroes / City of Villains – The original superhero MMORPG. City of Heroes was first released years ago and followed up by City of Villains. The two games exist as separate, yet the same games. It has allowed players to play both the hero and villain side in one distinct game. A follow-up game called Champions is looking to be released soon to compete with this series.

There are many other great pay-to-play MMORPGs available online. Some of these additional games include, Everquest 1, Everquest 2, Dark Age of Camelot, Age of Conan, Lineage 2, Anarchy Online, Asheron’s Call, and many more. Some of these are older games, and some are quite new. But many more great MMORPGs are on the horizon. Especially look for Star Wars: The Old Republic coming in 2010.

I picked up one of those ‘Golfing for Women’ type magazines the other day and got to asking myself where these women actually live, who buy the golf apparel shown in women’s golf magazines? I have never seen women, not even the pros, dressed in such expensive and flamboyant clothing.

It’s easy to spend lots of money fitting yourself out for golf. What with hats, sunglasses, gloves, shirts, shorts, socks, windbreakers and shoes, the costs add up very quickly, even if you do your shopping at the sales. Then factor in the cost of clubs, balls, bag, cart and fees and you have to play quite often to keep the “CPU” (cost per use) down to a reasonable level.

One glossy advertisement showed a beautiful model in very short shorts (like that’s allowed on courses!) that cost nearly $300, a golf shirt at almost $600, a jacket by Ralph Lauren at almost $200 and two-toned Utuser shoes costing $400 plus.

That totals just about $1,500! I know that it would be impossible for me to get the CPU on that outfit down to anywhere near an acceptable level in my entire golfing life! Please don’t get me wrong – I do love clothes and I do really, really love shoes, but I could never afford, nor even want, golf shoes or pants that cost as much as most people’s weekly wages.

OK, you want comfortable golf shoes that don’t look like something your grandmother would have worn, but you can easily find less expensive and still fashionable shoes.

I have a couple of very trendy golfing outfits, although none of them are famous brand names. If I totalled up the cost of all of those articles of clothing, it would not add up to the price of a Tse golf shirt. Personally, I would rather have several trendy outfits than one that is priced over-the-top.

If I were to wear a $1,500 outfit to play golf, I would simply be too worried about getting it dirty or sweating in it to play a decent round.

Congratulations on finding a great came on the PC. Would you believe it if we told you that there are millions, maybe even billions of people globally that play World of Warcraft? It’s true. In fact, it is amongst one of the most played games out there. That’s right, it is right up there with Lord of the Ring, Final Fantasy, Guild Wars and all of those other fun games. As you are playing WoW, you are going to find that gold is very important. Yes, you cannot get away from the importance of money, not even in a game. If you are in need of some world of warcraft gold tips, then you have come to the right place.

First of all, you may want to look into the many different guides out there that are pertaining to making WoW gold. Some of the most popular ones revolve around WoW gold farming. You should not just go out there and purchase any guide, you should make sure the one you are getting is reliable.

One of the easiest ways for you to start would be to purchase a farming guide. However, you should make sure this guide is legitimate. Set up your WoW account, choose your character and race and no matter what you choose, you will need ‘money’ in order to succeed.

They will even tell you what type of profession you should choose and where to go when you get that profession. What do we mean by this? Well, if you choose to be a skinner, then there are certain areas you should go and bad guys you should destroy so that you can skin them.

In the end, as you are trying to make world of warcraft gold, take note that the right profession is going to make a world of difference. Using the right skills and right farm locations are just as important. As an example, when you choose to be a skinner, you should play in the areas where you can skin the mobs you kill. If you are a tailor, then you should play in areas where there are humanoids.

French Open Tennis

It is pretty unimaginable that people will not have heard of the French Open tennis championship, because it is a competition which is a regular topic of conversation. In French the name of the competition is ‘Les Internationaux de France de Roland Garros’ or ‘Tournoi de Roland Garros’. This tournament, which lasts for about two weeks is held in Paris at the Roland Garros Stadium, from which it got its name.

The French Open is one of the most advertised and broadcast sports events in the entire world of sport and lots of VIPs attend it. The attendees are fanatics who wait with baited breath on every stroke, especially when there is a tight struggle between the two sides, doing their best to win. Even TV viewers actually get a feeling of being there live.

The French Open tennis championship comes in second on the annual round of the Grand Slam tournaments and its history goes back to the year of 1891 when it became an international competition. At that time it was named the ‘International Championship of Tennis of France’ or ‘Championat de France International de Tennis’ in French.

Initially, only players that were registered or licensed in France were allowed to participate in this competition, but things took a different turn in 1925, when the French open tennis tournament finally was accessible to foreign players. In 1912, the ground the players used was made of red brick dust. Actually the crushed brick was formed into red clay that covered the ground, which until then would have been a green lawn.

The public popularity of the French Open tennis tournament held at the Roland Garros stadium, dates back to a competition between the Philadelphia Four (Rene Lacoste, Jean Borotra, Henri Cochet and Jacques Brugnon) who won the Davis Cup in 1927. It was the trigger of the desire in the French to defend their cup in future competitions. This new tournament was designed to bring back home the cup and was held at a stadium named after the World War I pilot Roland Garros. Since then the name has stuck.

The word ‘open’ became has been used from 1968, when the tournament allowed both amateurs and professionals alike who wanted to test their skills at tennis. Since then the French Open tennis tournament has also brought in some novel prizes.

Beside the regular winners’ prizes, they also award a ‘Prix Orange’ for the most correct and press friendly player, a ‘Prix Citron’ for the player with the strongest personality and a ‘Prix Burgeon’ for the one that turns out to be the revelation of the tennis year.
