How To Use Social Media To Market

Social Media marketing is the fastest growing and most visible marketing technique today. Social media marketing is the type of planned marketing efforts that lead to the “Viral” spread of a company’s message and products. Unfortunately
most marketers do not properly understand social media, let alone marketing with a the social media mindset.

Social Media, also known as the Social Web or Web 2.0, is an evolution of the internet. This evolution empowers consumers to take control of the content on internet through social networks, online communities, blogs, wikis, and more. The primary difference between Social Media and the old model of the internet is that consumers control the content on the web. The content published by companies with monetary motives is quickly weeded out and buried by fresher more popular content.

This new model creates unlimited new opportunities for companies that are willing to engage the consumer. When done effectively, the
message shared with the consumer is spread virally drawing attention to the company that initiated the message. This viral message creates
many positive results. First, it attracts new previously unreached consumers to the company. Second, it generates internet content that is tracked and indexed by Google. This content naturally increases search engine ranking and draws additional consumers to join in the conversation and buzz.

For all of its benefits, there are drawbacks to social media. It requires new approaches to marketing with a new mindset. The two most popular approaches are Social Media Networking and Social Media marketing. These new
approaches in the new model can be difficult for traditional marketers to embrace. The techniques used in the past are no longer relevant in social media. In some cases, using traditional
marketing tactics in a social media environment can seriously damage the reputation of the company.

Networking in a Social Media environment requires a change in the way companies views their target market and the approach to reaching
them. In this new model, every customer is a potential marketing partner. Every interaction with the customer has the potential of becoming either a marketing opportunity or a blemish on their reputation. Companies must now engage consumers and treat them like marketing partners to be effective at Social Networking.

Social Marketing, on the other hand, focuses on leveraging Social Media networks to expand the reach of marketing efforts. The goal of Social
Marketing is multifaceted. First, share content on social platforms to increase visibility. Then, initiate the viral spread of this content. Finally, encourage the continued mention of content on blogs and networks to continue the spread of content. Each of these three efforts is monitored by search engines and will naturally promote higher search engine results. Creating natural SEO links to the advertiser’s material.

Social media marketing can have a huge impact on your marketing plans. It can either extend your reach or send your customers running scared. A solid understanding of social networking, social marketing, and how they interact will increase your chances of succeeding. Just like in traditional internet marketing, you have a variety of Social Media tools that can be used to promote their vision. Just like traditional marketing, the tools or platforms used should be considered carefully and leveraged to promote the company in the best way possible.

Before any website can get sales, it must get traffic. The whole “build it and they will come” doesn’t work with the internet. I used to own the domain name “vwbus.com” and it got about 40 to 50 visitors a day by people simply typing that in to see what was there. That is the exception to the rule, however. Most sites have to leverage other sites with existing traffic in order to get started. Here are a few ways that you can get some free traffic and leverage these sites that can get you the traffic.

Blogging is one of the easiest ways to get free traffic, but like any other website, you still have to get traffic to the main blog. However, blogs have a major advantage over regular websites because they have an RSS feed built in. Also, depending on which blogging platform you use, there are some instant advantages because if you use wordpress.com, the domain tends to rank very well with the search engines. Also, Google owns Blogger.com and has a tendency to “hang out” on their own properties looking for new updated content.

You can use social bookmarking sites to get both links back to your site for the search engines as well as direct traffic from people visiting these social bookmarking sites and clicking on the links in your bookmarks. You can use sites like socialmarker.com to get a list of social bookmarking sites that can be used to bookmark your blog posts, pages on the site and also use the profile options with several of these social bookmarking sites that allow you to put links in for your websites into the profiles.

Some other sites that can help you get traffic and rank well on their own are sites like Hubpages.com and Squidoo.com. If you have done your keyword research and know what keywords are getting searched for, you’ll have an easy time finding keywords that are getting searched, but have very little competition. Using these keywords in the title of your Squidoo “Lens” or your Hubpages “Hub”. Using the keywords in both your title and again throughout the page you create then doing some additional social bookmarking links back to your “Lens” or “Hub” and watch it get ranked in the search engines.

Next to pay-per-click, articles are the best way to get your website ranked and get traffic back to your website. The main reason these article websites are so good is because the pages on which your article shows up are very relevant and the links that are allowed in the author profile or resource box. Many of the good article sites also have a lot of “authority” with the search engines and their article pages rank very well which also means that the link values passed along from these types of sites are very high.

What would probably be considered the original “Web 2.0″ would be forums. Anything where you can interact in a community type setting with something topical or niche specific. Many forums will allow you to add a signature to the end of each of your postings. Depending on the forum, you can put a link back to your website, usually using whatever keywords you want to. Depending on your contributions in the forums as well as the call to action in your signature, you’ll get visits to your site as well as the search engine benefit of having those keyword phrases linked back to your website.

Many blogs get a lot of traffic and with the comments you can add on a lot these blogs, you’ll get people clicking through to your website. There are also what are called “dofollow” blogs that will help you with your search engine optimization as well.

Getting free traffic, or even paying for traffic is just the start to making sales and making money. These techniques can be used for non-ecommerce related sites as well.

Do you remember the days when the internet was considered only a place that brainiacs communicated and there was no way that regular people would ever use it? Those were the days eh? Now everyone thinks they are an internet specialist if they somebody searches for their name on the internet and they come up on the front page!

Think of the many ways that one can harness the power of the World-Wide-Web. It seems that when it comes to cyber space, there are no limitations or boundaries. Just think about it for a second, the majority of the world takes advantage of this technology in a variety of different ways. Whether signing up for an online bank account, grabbing a free email address, or merely just surfing the web, the internet continues to offer more and more.

Nowadays there are many people who even take their businesses online. Of course major corporations pull in gargantuan profits, but you would be surprised on how many people working from home rake in the cash. With simply a PC or Mac at your side you can accomplish virtually anything one desires. From simply creating your own website to internet marketing online, these are just examples of why it’s time to take advantage of cyberspace if you already haven’t. This is the contemporary vehicle to cash.

But hold on..as with the opportunities comes the pitfalls so don’t go screaming around town that you’re rich just yet! One has to educate themselves on the topic even if you plan to hire somebody to do the work for you. One can find a plethora of information freely on the web but be aware that are quite a few reasons you may need to seek the advice of a professional. The use of an internet specialist can probably help with this. Here are 3 good reasons you shouldn’t try this alone:

1. Many Techniques To Learn

If you are new to this game, you’ll quickly learn there are many things to learn from putting up a website, setting up a merchant account to the ways of driving traffic to your new website including PPC (Pay Per Click), SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and social media. Even if you are experienced, you’ll recognize that each discipline has many varieties and techniques that one can implement. Which to choose? An internet specialist can quickly assess what works best for you and your situation.

2. Updating Oneself Constantly On The Latest And Greatest

As stated in an earlier paragraph, there are so many things to consider when running a business online. Even in the rare case you have the mastery of all it takes to run a successful business, keeping updated on what is the new technique and how one can implement it in one’s business is a full time job. The assistance of an internet specialist would relieve you of this burden.

3. Managing Your Time

The most important reason of all. Time is the one thing that everyone in the world has equal share of. Do you think the wealthiest people in the world have extra time in their day? They just manage their time more efficiently and even if they could perform the task, why not just have an employee or an outsourced worker perform the task while you relax and enjoy your day. That’s the possibilities if you run your business efficiently.

Striving to expand your current business or is this literally the first time you’ve considered going online? Maybe it’s time you considered the services of professional internet specialists so one can greatly improve one’s results. No matter if you incorporate the use of a specialist or not, you should understand the importance of getting your product and/or service seen by all who need it…so what are you doing about it?

Internet Marketing Explained

When products and services are marketed via the World Wide Web, it is called “Internet marketing.” Internet marketing has opened doors like no other marketing before it. An entrepreneur has the power to capture a significantly large and diverse audience with the click of a mouse. Not only that but Internet marketing is growing in popularity because entrepreneurs now have the ability to interact and target consumers with increased sophistication. Internet marketing goes by several terms including eMarketing, Web marketing, online marketing, and iMarketing. All of these names refer to the same form of marketing.

Internet marketing is different from traditional marketing in that it presents several unique benefits to promotion campaigns. Perhaps most notably, Internet marketing tends to be exceptionally inexpensive. With very little expense, it is possible to distribute media and information to people around the world. Even more impressively, Internet marketing boasts an interactive factor. Marketers and consumers can interact instantly via the Internet. This is a vital resource that no other medium offers. While Internet marketing does have a wide scope, it does have its disadvantages. Most notably, it can take time to successfully plan and execute an Internet-based marketing plan.

Anyone trying to sell something should entertain some form of Internet marketing plan. From search engine optimization to a traditional Web site, there are plenty of opportunities to spread your message via the Internet. An Internet marketing campaign can be simple or complex, the choice is up to you. What matters most is that the Internet is utilized to reach potential buyers who optimize their time on the Web. Failing to utilize the Internet essentially equals loss of potential profit.

There are several forms of Internet marketing. As preciously mentioned, SEO is one of those forms. Search engine optimization is an effective way to increase traffic to any given Web site. Here is how it works. When a consumer enters keywords into a search engine – such as Google – several Web sites are listed based on the keywords entered. In Internet marketing, entrepreneurs fill their Web sites with keywords specific to their consumers’ needs or interests. These keywords, in turn, are acknowledged by the search engine. The more SEO, the higher the site is ranked and the higher it appears on the search engine’s list.

Speaking of Google, another type of Internet marketing is Google adwords. An advertising product hosted by the search engine giant, Google adwords boasts a huge success for the company, pulling in $21 billion in 2008. There are several components to adwords. The simple component is pay-per-click (PPC). PPC allows the entrepreneur to select a series of words that when clicked on produce an advertisement. These ads are paid for based on the amount of clicks they receive. Text and banner ads are another type of Google adwords. These ads are placed in Google’s network based on information provided by the advertiser.

Lastly, social media marketing is a huge hitter in Internet marketing. Essentially a word of mouth campaign, social media marketing is facilitated via social sites such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Advertisers can utilize social media marketing to spread information about their products and services. Overall, social media marketing has two purposes. First, consumers have the ability to save and submit Internet links via Digg, Reddit, and Del.icio.us. Second, consumers are afforded the luxury of being able to market their favorite items and services.

In all, Internet marketing is the new and improved form of marketing that boasts too many advantages to list in this article. In the past several years, marketers have watched as traditional marketing tactics have been replaced with online marketing. Internet marketing is not only affordable, but necessary. Without it, advertisers are missing out on potential buyers – a concept many of us cannot afford to do. There are several ways to market online. At the very least, you should have a Web site to establish an online presence.

Unique Article Wizard Review

Unique Article Wizard: What Is It? Unique Article Wizard is an article marketing tool that allows you to submit articles to a variety of blogs, directories, and submission sites. Unique Article Wizard has a number of sites that belong to it’s directory, so finding relevant web sites that will list your article is usually no problem.

How Unique Article Wizard Works: Typically, a person may write an article, submit it to an article directory, and then link back to their web site or blog with relevant information. If you’re submitting to a niche site with quite a bit of traffic, this method is great for getting quality traffic. If you’re looking for backlinks for SEO purposes, however, you’re stuck with one or two backlinks. Through Unique Article Wizard, though, you’ll be submitting an article to a variety of web sites by picking categories and topics that your article is relevant to. I’m a monthly subscriber to Unique Article Wizard and have used it to pick up a number of backlinks to my site, as well as to rank on the first page of Google *quickly* for a number of terms. There is a non-disclosure agreement that doesn’t allow me tell you exactly how the articles are submitted, but it’s completely white-hat.

Rank For Specific Keywords Using Unique Article Wizard: Once you write an article, you’ll be able to write an Author Resource or “BIO” box at the end of the article. In that resource box, you will also be able to include html. For my web site, the resource box may look something like this: Business Name provides a variety of KEYWORD 1 and KEYWORD 2 resources. Where keyword 1 and keyword 2 are, those would be html links and you wouldn’t see any html code. By distributing your article to upwards of thousands of blogs and article web sites, Unique Article Wizard is placing keyword anchor text for you, something that could take hours if you were to do it by yourself. You have the potential of placing hundreds to thousands of targeted anchor text on high PageRank and trafficked sites from just one article, increasing your chances of ranking for the keywords you are targeting.

How Long Will It Take To Rank For The Keywords I Am Targeting? Unfortunately, that is not a question that can be easily answered. If you’re trying to rank for a highly competitive keyword, it may take quite a bit more effort than article marketing to rank for the keyword. I have ranked for competitive terms by solely using Unique Article Wizard, though. My sites already have links pointing to them, but my technique consisted of pushing out 1-2 articles per DAY. If each article is posted to 800-1,600 sites (per the categories I was targeting), that’s a potential of 8,000 links a week, on the low end! I make sure to switch up my keyword anchor text, however, using a variety of phrases and pages so that all the links count, instead of being counted as duplicates.

How Will I Know That My Site Is Benefiting From Using Unique Article Wizard? After a few days, I take two steps: 1. Run a Rank Check Report: Using Aaron Wall’s free SEO Book plugin, I type in the keywords that I was targeting in the article and see where I currently rank. Over approximately a week period, if I’m aggressively distributing unique, informative articles, the ranking will steadily increase. 2. Check In With Yahoo Site Explorer: After a week, backlinks from your article marketing should begin showing up. I use Yahoo’s free tool to find out how many links my site now has, and I use tools like SEOPro (free) to find out the PageRank of those sites, the anchor text that is pointing to my site, and whether that anchor text link is nofollow or not. Yahoo Site Explorer is a quick way to confirm that, yes, my article marketing is getting me backlinks, while other tools are more time intensive way to confirm that, yes, those links are providing value.

Is Unique Article Wizard Really Worth The Money? That’s also a hard question to answer without knowing your situation. For me, the answer is YES. Actually, it’s MOST DEFINITELY YES. Unique Article Wizard will cost you $67 a month via PayPal. If that’s not in your budget right now, then obviously it’s not worth it to you. If you’re on the fence about ordering it, the nice thing is that Unique Article Wizard IS a monthly subscription, and you can cancel at any time. For me, Unique Article Wizard provides benefit in that I am at no loss for new article topics, and Unique Article Wizard makes it easy for me to distribute those articles to relevant sites AND get quality backlinks back. I submit anywhere from 1-10 articles a DAY via Unique Article Wizard, albeit for a variety of sites and client web sites. If you are only going to use Unique Article Wizard once a month or so, the cost may not be justified. You can easily submit a few articles to sites like Ezine Articles or Go Articles, but you may not get as many backlinks. The other thing about Unique Article Wizard, the thing I want to make ABSOLUTELY clear, is it’s not an end all be all for link building. For a link building strategy to be successful, you need to partake in a variety of methods: press release distribution, directory submission, blog commenting, forum commenting, image alt text, link bait, AND article marketing. Article Marketing may quickly get you to the top spot for a long tail keyword, but for competitive keywords and niches, it’s only going to nudge you a few pages. What article marketing and Unique Article Wizard CAN do, though, is push you to the top if you’re ALMOST there – maybe a few links behind your competitor. Your competitor will have to work extra hard trying to find new links, not knowing that a few articles are all it took to get you thousands of links and to the top of the rankings.

I’m Not A Writer – Is Unique Article Wizard Right For Me? This is the spot where I tell you to outsource. I, in fact, outsource the writing portion of my article marketing tactics for a few of my affiliate sites that would take me hours of research for one 500 word article. For subjects I’m passionate or knowledgeable about, I can knock out a few articles a day, but there are a variety of places to find credible writers at. There are quite a few article marketing services that claim they provide quality articles at $3 per article, but I’ve found that you do often get what you pay for.

Most online marketing “gurus” focus exclusively on getting traffic to your blog or website from sources like Facebook, MySpace, StumbleUpon and Digg. But before you jump into their strategy, consider a few of the following flaws with mass-media user-generated websites like MySpace and Facebook:

* Myspace and Facebook have a huge number of dead pages – So many users have “been there, done that” that they do not login to there accounts anymore. You would basically be marketing to the wall. * Myspace and Facebook has implemented numerous safety guards – They have made changes which are hypersensitive against spam, and they label any outgoing links as spam or potential phishing sites. This puts a scare into people using these services, and causes them to apprehensive to clicking any outgoing links to your site. * Social Networking is about dead – When these services were new, they were great. While you may find some amount of success with these sites, your effectiveness rate would be about 30% of what you would normally expect.

We might not like it, but it’s part of reality. Social media is huge, clunky and often innefficient. Most traffic from social media is very useless, as the visitors are more curious than interested in buying anything or subscribing to future updates. Bored traffic is rarely good traffic.

While Search Engine Optimization(SEO) is a great way to promote your website, SEO takes a long time to take effect. It can take years for your site to achieve natural, organic results in the form of targeted traffic.

Perhaps the fastest and quickest way to drive traffic to your website using the search engines is through using pay-per-click advertising services, or PPC. PPC allows you to place an ad on the search engines based on the keywords which people search. You only pay for advertising when someone clicks through your ad. Three of the top PPC programs are:

Google –AdWords Yahoo – Search-Marketing MSN – AdCenter

There are other services such as Miva which is used often; and, incidentally, Facebook has an excellent PPC program, which seems to be highly targeted — it laser targets your potential visitors by age, interests, location, and much more. This ensures that the right audience is seeing your ads — maximizing exposure — and providing you with quality, fresh leads.

Rates vary from keyword to keyword, but some terms can be bought for as little as $0.05 cents a click. Pricing really depends on the search engine you advertise on and the amount of users the particular search engine has. It is also dependent on how many people are advertising in the same niche as you.

When a user clicks on your ad after searching what they were looking for, they go to your site. If your landing page is good, and rich in relevant content, more often than not a visitor will buy your product. This shows a considerable profit in ratio to advertising, or return on investment(ROI). With the millions of users around the world using search engines, you can get loads of visitors to your website through PPC advertising, and multiply your sales volume in the process.

If you are looking for a quick way to drive traffic to your website using the search engines, PPC is the most obvious route to take in your marketing endeavors.

Raymond Fong came to the United States by way of Taiwan. He moved to the “Land of Opportunity” when he was 9-years-old. Prior to his move, he lived in Taiwan for four years without his mother while she entered the U.S. and through a rigorous immigration p

From the start, Raymond was a savvy student, earning a 4.0 GPA through high school and graduating with an International Baccalaureate Diploma in the late 1990s. In 1999, Raymond was accepted to Harvey Mudd College. Despite a notable lack of sleep traded for time spent in physics lab and working on his MicroProcessor project, Raymond excelled in college and found many successes there. He even made time to study abroad for a semester in Australia.

Four years later in 2003, Raymond graduated with a degree in engineering and went to work for an aerospace company. At first glance, Raymond felt that he had “arrived,” earning nearly $100,000 in salary and bonuses at his first professional job. This way of thinking, however, quickly shifted. Not long after he started working for the company, a round of employees were laid off. Suddenly job security was an issue. This little event got Raymond to thinking there must be something more out there for him.

Thinking his answer to security could be found with added education, Raymond returned to the classroom, this time seeking a master’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Southern California. He would later graduate with his graduate degree in 2005. But in the meantime, Raymond experienced another important revelation – his passion for engineering was strong, but his interest in traditional employment was not. This is when Raymond knew that he was in for a big change.

Raymond soon decided that his best option was to become an entrepreneur so he could call his own shots. He had grown interested in multi-level marketing (and actually introduced it to his current business partner, Fernando Ceballos). So he jump-started his own MLM business and he found success, but still he felt there was more to be discovered. Raymond and Fernando began throwing around ideas to incorporate networking marketing via the Internet. During this time, Raymond established important relationships with top marketing professionals Jimmy Davis, Mike Dillard, Tim Erway, and Russel Wright.

Raymond’s efforts did not go unnoticed, thanks to his partnerships, he was able to develop a training method that helped his down-lines improve their output. Raymond could have stopped here, but stopping is not in his nature. The marketing professional continued to learn and grow and utilized his new skills to help others. Currently, Raymond offers several services that compliment his skills in social networking, copywriting, social content, search engine domination, article marketing, and search engine optimization. He is the owner of Affinity Integration, an online marketing firm that specializes in Internet marketing optimization.

True to his nature, Raymond’s successes do not stop there. He is constantly working on special products that always relate back to online marketing. Specifically, he has his hand in InterNet Worth Marketing, a business model that promises large paychecks for MLMers. Another popular project is his Attraction Marketing Formula, a company he and Fernando founded to teach their own methods of traffic generation and other skills necessary to succeed with an online business. Lastly, Raymond has teamed up with his mentor, Mike Dillard, to influence Mike’s own brainchild, BetterNetworker.com, the number one online community for home business owners.

SEO – What’s Hot What’s Not

The Worldwide Web is the world’s largest marketplace and the best place to market your product or service. Online marketing is similar to traditional marketing in some ways. You need to get your name out in front of people and get them to make a purchase.

Search engine optimization is a method used to get more traffic to your website. Whenever someone performs a search online they are using a search engine. With thousands or sometimes millions of potential sites to look at you need to find a way to make sure that your site appears as high up in the search results as possible.

Research has found that people only look at the first one to three pages of results from a Web search before choosing to click on a site. Therefore it is of extreme importance that you get your site to the top of the list. In order to keep people coming back enough times to make a purchase you need to provide them with some useful information once they reach your site. Keep your site up-to-date by renewing content often and by adding current features such as a blog.

The way to get your site to the top of the search list results is through search engine optimization. Search engines send out what are called Web crawlers or spiders to retrieve information from pertinent sites. This is how your site will be located in search engines. The search engines look for what are called Meta tags on the pages of your site.

Meta tags are important because they indicate what your site is about while providing the terms that are used for searches. You’ll sometimes see Meta tag phrases appear on the search results as well as on the top of the site pages. Meta tags are made up of a couple of sentences or groups of words (keywords) that describe your site. Meta tags are typically less than 25 words and are used by the search engines to rate your site.

The keywords are important because this is how you will be ranked. Most people never look beyond the first couple of pages of returned results of an online search. This means that you must get your site in the top three ranking pages in order to be successful at search engine optimization and drive business to your site. The most important page of your site is your home page also sometimes called your “landing page”.

It is of utmost importance to properly choose your keywords. These words, if chosen properly, can actually help to drive business to your site. Do not take search engine optimization lightly. Keywords need to be specific. They can also be phrases rather than one single word. Try to narrow down your keywords so that you’ll get the best results from search engine optimization. For example a travel site may consider using keywords like “travel” or “vacation” yet the resutlst for these broad terms will be enormous. Instead, narrow your keywords down making them as specific as possible. In this case you could use “Bahama cruise” or other much more specific search terms.

Once you understand how search engine optimization works you’ll be better equipped to make decisions that will work for your site. Focus on the keywords that are used for your type of business and make a list of them. Then you will need to provide website copy and Meta tags that use the keywords that are the best representation of your company. Using search engine optimization properly will greatly improve your visibility in search engine results and thus will improve your site traffic and sales.
