About Nike Golf Shoes

Nike golf shoes are one of the tools you can use to improve your game. If you have only played golf in casual footwear so far, or if you’re just looking for a way to improve your general game, investing in a good pair of golf shoes can make a huge difference. Just like in other sports, the shoes you have on can directly affect your game.

As you have to have a smooth swing and be able to follow through on your swing in golf, all without losing control of the strength of your swing, your golf shoes can help or hinder your game. Nike golf shoes are designed to help you balance, gripping the turf as much as needed yet letting you put full strength and control behind each swing.

As these golf shoes have special compartments in the heels, every step is easier to make. They offer the level of support your feet, legs and knees require in order to play golf very comfortably over long periods of time.

Because golf usually involves a lot of walking, Nike golf shoes have been constructed as a blend of walking shoe and golf shoe. Each step you take cushions your legs and knees against impact, allowing you to concentrate your strength and effort on your game of golf, rather than how to make your way to the next hole or to wherever your ball has landed.

When you decide to buy Nike golf shoes, there are several things that you should bear in mind. The first thing you should consider is your level of skill. Golf, like many other sports, has apparel that can be used by beginners or advanced professionals alike, but it is better to differentiate between the skill levels.

In many cases, amateurs pick Nike golf shoes designed for professionals, but rarely end up getting the full potential of the shoe, since they are not sure how they can be used to their best advantage.

While professionals definitely do get fantastic advantage out of these Nike golf shoes, it is often better for beginners to purchase entry level Nike golf shoes which would better suit their needs. The increase in power afforded to your stroke will usually be lost on those who are novices, as they do not yet have the requisite skill to control the stroke as they need to.

Therefore, it is best to buy Nike golf shoes that fit your skill level, as these shoes will have the comfort and functionality you require. You can purchase Nike golf shoes from a variety of sources. For those who want cheaper shoes and the same quality of professional shoes, you can buy last year’s models from Nike outlet centers.

If you want only top of the line shoes, you can purchase from online Nike stockists or through a number of online and local retail vendors (see below).

Golf is a very dignified game of rules, manners and etiquette, and it’s quite important to know the basics of golfing etiquette before you play golf for the first time.

Golfing etiquette demands that it doesn’t matter whether you are playing alone, in a twosome or in a foursome, you must always wait your turn. You must also stay aware of the group on the next hole and wait until they are well ahead of you before you hit your ball.

Golfing etiquette also means that it is never correct to “hurry” the group in front of you. If you are playing with others, wait for your turn to hit the ball; never hit at the same time as another player.

While you wait for your turn to play, go to your ball and determine what golf club you will select and how you are going to hit the golf ball with it. This is called “ready golf” and keeps the game moving along, but don’t hurry anybody, just be ready for your turn to play.

Another useful piece of golfing etiquette, especially for novices is ‘playing through’. For example, if your team is holding up the players behind you, perhaps because you are playing consistently over par or taking a long time to choose your club, let them play through. You would simply wave them through, or if they are not far away from you, just ask them if they would like to play through. You will never make an enemy by doing this!

When someone is making a shot, you should be standing behind them and you shouldn’t make a sound! It is so distracting to be ready to tee off and just as you pull back, someone decides to play with coins in their pocket or noisily unwrap a piece of candy.

Replacing divots. Let’s say you are on the fairway and you strike the ball a bit thick and a clump of earth and grass goes flying, golfing etiquette says that you ought to repair the hole. On some courses you just put the clod back and step on it to keep it down, but on most courses, there is a sand/seed mixture on the course to put into the divot. Also, if your ball makes a deep impression when it lands on the green, you should use your divot tool to repair it.

As soon as you have finished a hole, replace the flag and leave the green as quickly and quietly as possible there may be another team teeing off at the next hole) so that the next players can play that hole. Tally up your score and write it on the scorecard when you get back to your trolley.

For sure, there is much more to golfing etiquette than this, but these basic rules of golfing etiquette will enable you to get around the course without upsetting anyone. If we all uphold golfing etiquette we will keep the game nice and friendly, or not?

I was perusing one of those ‘Golfing for Women’ magazines the other day and began wondering where the women live, who wear the golf attire modeled in women’s golfing magazines? I’ve never seen women, not even the professionals, who would dress in such expensive and outrageous clothes.

It’s so simple to spend tons of money kitting yourself out for the sport of golf. Think about hats, sunglasses, gloves, shirts, shorts, socks, windbreakers and shoes, and it is obvious that the costs add up very quickly, even if you do your shopping at cheap online sales. Then you have to factor in the cost of clubs, balls, bag, cart and fees and you have to play a round of golf really quite frequently to keep the “CPU” (cost per use) down to a tolerable level.

One half-page glossy advertisement showed a beautiful young ‘golfing lady’ in very tiny hot-pants (like that’s allowed on golfing greens!) that cost nearly $300, a golf shirt at almost $600, a jacket by Ralph Lauren at almost $200 and two-toned Utuser shoes costing $400 plus.

That adds up to nearly $1,500! I know that I could never hope to get the CPU on that outfit down to anywhere near an acceptable level in my lifetime! Don’t misunderstand me – I love clothes and I really love shoes, but could never afford, or even want, golf shoes or pants that cost more than most people’s weekly wage.

OK, you want comfortable golfing shoes that don’t look like an old pair of wooden clogs, but honestly, you will be able to find cheaper and yet still trendy golfing shoes.

I have several very trendy golfing outfits, although none of them are brand names. If I totalled up the cost of all of them, it would not cover the price of a Tse golf shirt. Personally, I’d rather have several nice outfits than one outrageously priced one.

If I were to wear a $1,500 outfit to play golf, I would simply be too worried about getting it dirty or perspiring in it to play a proper round.

Tennis Fundamentals

I trust that this initial effort of mine into the world of writing will find a place with both novices and experts in the tennis world. I am trying to interest the student of the game by a somewhat prolonged discussion of match play, which I trust will cast a new light on the game of tennis.

I will turn to the novice in my opening article and speak of certain things which are second nature to the experienced tennis player. The best tennis equipment is not a lot of use to the novice even if he really wants to succeed. Nevertheless, one has to purchase good quality; it is a saving eventually, as high quality goods far outlasts poor quality equipment.

It is vital always to wear tennis apparel when playing tennis. The question of choosing a tennis racquet is a much more serious decision. I do not like to force a certain brand of racquet upon any player, since all the famous brands are of excellent quality. However, the weight, balance, and size of the handle are the really important considerations when choosing a racquet frame, while good stringing is essential to obtain optimum results.

After having selected your racquet, make a firm decision to use only quality tennis balls, as a regular bounce is a great aid to advancement, while a “dead” ball is of no use at all. If you really want to advance at the game and progress rapidly, I strongly urge you to see all the good tennis you can. Study the play of the leading players and try to emulate their strokes. Read all the tennis instruction books you can find. They are a great help.

Much more tennis can be picked up off the tennis court in the study of theory and in watching the top players in play, than can ever be learned in one’s own actual play. I do not mean that you should miss opportunities to play tennis, far from it. Play tennis whenever you can, but strive when playing to put into practice the theories you have read about or the strokes you have watched.

Never become discouraged by lack of progress. The trick of playing some stroke you have worked on for weeks unsuccessfully, will suddenly come to you when you least expect it. Good tennis players are the product of hard work. Very few players are born geniuses at the game. Tennis is a game that pays you interest all your life. A tennis racquet is a letter of introduction in any city.

The fellowship of the game is universal, for none but a fit sportsman can succeed in the game for any lengthy period of time. Tennis provides relaxation, excitement, exercise, and pure enjoyment to the player who is tied fast to his business until late afternoon.

The following is the order of development that produces the quickest and most lasting results: i. Concentration on the game. ii. Keep the eye on the ball. iii. Foot-work and weight-control. iv. Strokes. v. Court position. vi. Court generalship or match play. vii. Tennis psychology.

Concentration. Tennis is played primarily with the mind. The best racquet technique invented will not suffice if the playing mind is erring. There are many causes of a wandering mind in a tennis match. The chief one is loss of interest in the game. No one should play tennis with any hope of real success unless he cares sufficiently about the game to be willing to do the spadework necessary to learn the game correctly.

Jack it in right now if you are not willing to work very hard. The weather, conditions of play or the murmurs in the gallery often confuse even very experienced match-players playing in new surroundings. Complete and utter concentration on the game is the only cure for an erring mind, and the quicker that lesson is learned the more rapid the improvement of the player.

The surest way to keep a match in mind is to play for every set, every game in the set, every point in the game and, finally, every shot in the point. A set is merely a collection of made and missed shots, and the man who misses the least is the ultimate victor.

Wrestling Arm Moves

The arm moves in wrestling include the arm breakers, arm drags, over the shoulder arm drags, arm swings, etc. The arm bar take down is another of the moves in wrestling. The arm bar attacks by forcing the arm of the opponent downward.

The challenger feels the strain about the shoulder area and the assailant will grip the arms extending the arms length wise. The shoulder is eventually dropped to the mat. This is a pin in most instances unless the wrestler can wriggle his/her way out of the hold.

The arm breaker manoeuvres include the slamming of the arms, typically on a part of the opponent’s body where it will cause some pain. Typically, the pin ends with the scissors hold, where the wrestler’s legs, crossed over the challenger’s body, are used to hold his/her shoulders down to the mat.

The various moves look painful in the ring, but the fact is that the moves are fakes, i.e. a showy display to grab attention. The actors rehearse the scenes long before they step into the ring and are trained to send ‘signs’ to end the bout when they want to.

The wrestling holds and slams seem serious on television, simply because the cameras and other distractions divert the attention of the viewers. Wrestling is similar to how magicians work. Magicians rehearse their acts before they go on stage. There is always a gimmick or explanation, yet the magician does his act so smoothly and the audience is so distracted, that the magician makes people believe he/she is the real thing.

The ‘arm drags’ involve the assailant getting the opponent in a hook move and then flipping the challenger down onto the mats. Most of the manoeuvres are devised by one or the other of the wrestlers and sometimes it may become a popular move and so taken up by others. Two of the older moves are the Gallatin and the Banana Split

The ‘over the shoulder’ move ought to be called the ‘body slam’ since the opponent throws the challenger over his shoulder, slamming him/her down onto the mat. Previously, this wrestling manoeuvre was probably in the group of ‘slammers’, but today it is called the shoulder-arm throw move.

The ‘wringer; is another of the arm moves in wrestling which is often known as the ‘spin wrist lock hold’. This move is often followed by the Irish Thrash moves, mallet locks or gouges.

Other arm moves include the arm stretches, arm breakers, arm wringer, arm locks, arm bar and arm scissors. While the arm moves are famous in the ring, there are many new moves today that you would never have heard of when wrestling first began in ancient days. The Amityville Horror is one of wrestling’s more modern moves. Although, I haven’t figured out what this move entails, we are about to look at it together.

Right now, from what I see the Amityville Horror is just a ploy to lead people into renting or buying the movie. As for the moves, I did see it listed in the list of wrestling moves; however, as for now no information is available to learn what this move entails. The moves are basically brands from the wrestlers, therefore what I’m assuming is that the wrestler felt he had acted out one of the most horrific moves in wrestling, so he named it the Amityville.

Why do some moves get roaring applause? Well, it can start when a wrestler in the ring brings in something new and it becomes his trademark, popular final move in bouts.
