Raiding in World of Warcraft is sometimes like having another job, so, getting tired of raids, I decided to try a new dimension of the game. What else than PvP arena I could decide for? It was very hard though to find another player to team up with because I had no arena achievements and basically I was an arena noob. To improve myself, I started working with a WoW PvP guide. This guide has taught me many important things about WoW PvP arena, and I’m going to share a few of them here.

1. Do not even think about starting to play WoW PvP arena without addons. If you play without addons, your opponents will always have the upper hand because they are surely using as many as possible. Doom CooldownPulse, SpellAlerter and Gladius are only a few addons that you might consider downloading and installing. Also, a speaker program for arena is a must. So use Ventrilo, TeamSpeak or even Yahoo.

2. Another important aspect of the arena content that this WoW PvP guide has taught me about stands for the gear. Don’t even try to start arena with PvE equipment unless you are extremely good. Yes, you might score some high damage numbers with PvE gear, but your defenses would be poor and you’ll die in 2-3 hits. To stay alive as much as possible you need to build up as much resilience as possible, even if you cut off your damaging stats.

3. Arena skirmish games are a good way to hone your WoW PvP skills. This way you’ll be able to understand your role better in any team. Winning a skirmish match is not important as you won’t lose any points. Your goal in skirmishes is to play your part in any team as good as possible. Also, by getting involved in many skirmish games or duels, you’ll become aware about all the other classes spells and abilities and this way you’ll learn how to manage your cooldowns better in any fight.

There are just a few tips for beginners. However, if you want to become a top class arena player or if you’re just can’t get rid of the lousy 1100 arena rating, I can only recommend this WoW PvP guide that I’ve been using. Knowing your class is probably the single biggest thing you can do to improve your leveling time, but it would be impossible to detail specs and strategies for every single class in the game here, so make sure to look up some class-specific information after you read this. Now, I’m a big fan of using leveling guides, but there is a problem a lot of them share not only with each other, but with inexperienced levelers, so this is the first thing we’ll talk about. The problem is, not all classes are created equally as far as leveling goes. Hunters, the class of choice for most guide writers, are able to destroy with ease mobs that would kill anyone else. So what you need to do when the content is too hard, is grind or instance a few levels, and get to the point where you are only fighting mobs lower level than you.

If you aren’t already carrying level-appropriate food and water, start doing so. Minimizing downtime is the real goal of everything we do when it comes to speeding up leveling, because it is the biggest factor in how quick we level. Use mana-efficient spells and abilities, use wands and melee, and conserve health by using defensive techniques, stunning abilities, and things like snares and roots. Also, again, fight lower-level mobs.

Another thing that can cause trouble while leveling is letting yourself be under-geared. Some classes can practically ignore gear, but others will struggle unless they keep their stuff up to date. Either buy stuff off the auction house, or get it from quests and instances, but keep all your gear slots relatively up-to-date! (Use the Dungeon Finder system to do instances; you get amazing loot and amazing experience for doing so!)

On the topic of the AH: Don’t spend tons of time going to the city to buy or sell. Use an alt to do all your business. Just mail things back and forth, as long as they are on the same account the transfer is instant. This has the added benefit of making it convenient to sell EVERYTHING that is white quality or better on the AH, making you tons of gold to buy new stuff with.

For example, Macaulay Culkin from the Home Alone fame and Verne Troyer from the Mini Me fame.

So, you can see how influential Warcraft can be in the world. Everyone plays Warcraft equally in the Warcraft world and it just add in more fun for everyone. Perhaps your friend in the game is a celebrity somewhere in the world, who knows?
