The New Wii Sports Resort Review

Need a new game to play this summer? Out this week is a new release from Nintendo of its long awaited new Wii games this year – the new Wii Sports Resort, which is based on the old Wii Sports.

Here you’ll find a lot of games from the old version of Wii Sports in this one, Wii Sports Resort, with some new twists for this update. The former Wii Sports game was usually bundled with the Wii console back a few years when the Wii console was first released. With this version of the Sports Resort game there are some new sports, and also included are many new features that take advantage of using the new Wii MotionPlus accessory, which is another new release this month.

The new MotionPlus accessory is an attachment to the Wii controller which adds a whole lot more control for players when they move the motion sensitive Wiimote Wii controller through the air. Using the new accessory, this new Wii Sports Resort game adds 12 different sports, to use the MotionPlus for games such as archery, swordplay, jet skiing, and sky diving which were not in the previous version.

Reading through reviews on the Web, gamers find that the new games really do use the new MotionPlus technology in a fun way, but sometimes don’t go far enough when they leave players wanting more in the way of using the new controller accessory and wanting extended games. With the new games such as swordplay and archery, they can really show off the enhanced control features which make the games more interesting.

This version still including some of the older games such as bowling and golf which now use the new technology. Some reviews were disappointed by technical issues that have come up, such as having to recalibrate the controller frequently. Also, some of the mini games for example the wakeboarding game and flying an airplane, are reported to be a little boring.

Of course some gamers will probably be bored with more sports games and some new mini games, but there are plenty of gamers who will find that this is lots of fun with the new controller MotionPlus. For most players, the new Wii Sports Resort is worth adding to your games collection and have fun playing with lots of new sports and the new Wii MotionPlus accessory.

There can be no doubt that the Nintendo Wii Gaming Console has taken the world by storm. Along with the awesome fun however, comes a dark side – BATTERIES. Those Wii remotes are great and a wonderful invention, but lets face it, you are going to burn through some batteries.

The Facts

Each year, in America alone, there are over 84,000 TONS of alkaline batteries that are thrown away. Alkaline batteries make up 20% of the household hazardous materials that end up in landfills. No small percentage.

Why the Concern?

So, why should this be of any concern?

Batteries do not just sit in landfills in the safe condition they are in when we are using them. Household batteries begin to break down after being exposed to the environment, releasing hazardous toxins and mercury into the ground.

Environmentalists worldwide are crusading to reduce the number of alkaline batteries that are making it into our landfills. Their goal is to reduce or even eliminate the number of batteries that are releasing their poisons into the environment.

What Can be Done About It?

Heck, you just wanted to play some games; you didnt want to have a negative effect on the environment! So, whats a gamer to do? The obvious answer is to reduce the amount of batteries you consume while gaming. But how can you do that?

A partial solution to this problem is rechargeable batteries, and for the Wii gamer that would mean a Wii charge station. You will be able to recharge your Wii remote batteries with ease with the Wii charge station. Each rechargeable battery can be recharged up to 2000 times, replacing approximately 300 alkaline batteries.

The reduction of poisonous materials seeping into our landfills will be greatly reduced if gamers simply choose to use rechargeable batteries in their Wii remote controls.

The Wii charge station saves your landfills, saves you money on batteries, and as a huge side bonus, it makes sure the next time youre ready to pick up a remote and play, your batteries will have the juice to perform.
